A. Luella Clute

Kinsman, Ohio - Anna Luella Clute, age 93, died on Monday, December 4, 2012, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was born in Cherry Valley, Ohio, on December 6, 1918 a daughter of Florence Martha (Bartholomew) and Dean Stanley Bullard. Luella was a 1936 graduate of Wayne Central High School and a graduate of Howe Beauty School of Ashtabula, Ohio. She owned and operated Luella's Beauty Shoppe in Kinsman for fifteen years. On October 13, 1940 she married Paul Russell Clute in the Wayne Congregational Church, by the Rev. Whalen. Luella has been a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church since 1954, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a Christian Education Teacher for many years. She was a founding member of the Kinsman Goldenaires in 1971 and was also a member of the Ruth Circle and the Women's Association at church. Luella was a Girl Scout Leader in Kinsman for many years and together with her husband owned a cottage on Put-in-Bay Island that many community members were able to enjoy. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of fifty-three years, Paul R. Clute, who died on November 6, 1993. Survivors include her daughter, Paula L. and husband James Ruby of Fowler, Ohio; two granddaughters, Nancy Ruby and husband Jay Weiser of Denver, Colorado and Jayme and husband Chris Calnon of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a grandson, Jeremy Ruby and wife Karen Welch of Akron, Ohio; great grandchildren, Nathan, Aaron, Reed, Emery Grace, Milo and Liam. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 12:00pm at Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with the Reverends Susan H. Francis and Larry A. Myers officiating. Calling hours will be on Friday, December 7th from 10:00am until the time of services.
