Agnes K. French

AGNES K. FRENCH, age 86, of Cortland, Ohio, passed on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. She was born on August 18, 1920 to Peter and Katherine (O'Connell) Vonderau in New Castle, PA. A long time area resident, Mrs. French was a Registered Nurse working at Horizon Village Nursing Home in Warren for many years. She retired from nursing in 2000 at the age of 80. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, cooking, traveling, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was also dedicated to,and had great love for her family. Agnes Vonderau married Adelbert G. French in October of 1943, and was preceded in death by him in 1982. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by sons, David M. French of Cleveland and Eric A. (Joyce) French of Cortland; daughters, Gail E. French of Cortland, Lisa S. French (George C. Mouzoris)of New York, NY, Cecelia A. French of Shelton, Conn., and Kathleen A. French of Madison, NJ; and grandchildren, Ashley and Bryan Clute of Cortland. A private service will be held for family. Baumgardner Funeral Home, Kinsman, Ohio is handling arrangements.
