Alan Keith Nelson

Keith Nelson, age 60, of Williamsfield, Ohio, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown,OH. He was born November 29, 1955, in Carbondale,IL, a son of Leon and Joan Nelson. Formerly of Herrin, IL, Keith had been a resident of Williamsfield for the past 10 years. He was a graduate of Olivet Nazarene College where he earned a Bachelor Degree in ministerial studies. He was employed in ministry for many years; and later was employed as an educational aid for both Trumbull and Ashtabula County Educational Service Centers. He attended the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene where he belonged to the men's bible study. Keith enjoyed reading and was an avid southern gospel music fan. Keith is survived by his wife, Marie E. (Lipps) Nelson, whom he married June 18, 2006, of Williamsfield; his daughter, Jessica Nelson of Fort Myers, FL; and his brother, Michael Nelson of Carterville, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 1:00 PM at the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene, 3410 St. Rt. 6, Andover,OH 44003, with Pastor Rich Meier officiating. Calling hours will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Cherry Valley Church of the Nazarene.
