Alice Logan Blaemire, 83 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Monday, March 15, 2004, at Briarfield of Cortland in Fowler Twp., Ohio. Alice was born on January 19, 1921, in Gustavus, Ohio, to the late Victor H. Logan and the late Clara M. Switzer. Formerly of Gustavus, Mrs. Blaemire was a longtime Kinsman resident. She was a 1938 graduate of Gustavus High School, and a 1942 graduate of The Ohio State University. Mrs. Blaemire taught Home Economics in Burton and Huntsburg, Ohio. In 1946, Mrs. Blaemire, along with her sister, Eleanor Brown, owned and operated the Kinsman Times Square, where she was famous for her pies. She also owned and operated the Allen House in Kinsman. Alice was a member of the Kinsman Business and Professional Women, the Kinsman Tourist Club and the Gustavus U & I Literary Club, Gustavus Grange and she enjoyed playing bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Jack, two brothers, Victor and John Logan, and a sister Patricia Jeffers. She is survived by her son, John D. Blaemire of Kinsman, OH; and his special friend and companion, Charlene White of Kinsman, OH; granddaughter, Shannon E. Blaemire of Alliance, OH; granddaughter, Erin R. Blaemire of Warren, OH; sister, Eleanor Brown of Kinsman, OH; and sister, Lucile L. Cole of Williamsfield, OH. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at the Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, with Reverend Steven W. Trimble officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be at the family convenience. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, March 17, 2004, from 5-8p.m. at the funeral home.
