Andover, Ohio - Alisha Elynne Miranda, age 23, died suddenly on Thursday, October 11, 2012, in Johnston, Ohio. She was born on August 16, 1989 in Mesa, Arizona, a daughter of Jacelynne Jan (Shilling) and Arthur E. Miranda, Sr. Alisha was a 2007 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School. She worked for the Andover Dairy Queen for the past eight years. Alisha was an avid golfer and active in the band and golf teams while in school. She was a fan of the New York Giants and loved spending time with her family and friends. Alisha is preceded in death by her sister, Regina Joann Miranda Robles; grandparents, Josephine Valdez Ormsby and Lambert Ormsby; grandfather, John P. Shilling; and an uncle, Robert W. Shilling. Survivors include her parents, Jacelynne J. and Arthur E. Miranda, Sr. of Andover, Ohio, two sisters, Anissa Miranda of Andover, Ohio, and Tracy (Sandy) Gill of Mesa, Arizona; a brother, Arthur E. (Melissa) Miranda, Jr., of Mesa, Arizona; grandparents, Elynne and Richard Slater of Andover, Ohio; Uncle, Douglas Shilling; Aunts, Mary (Michael) McNeilly, Susan (Larry) Bayer; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. A private service will be held on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail, phone, or web to the American Cancer Society, specifically Colorectal Cancer.
