Allen Jay Cole

Greene, Ohio - ALLEN JAY COLE, age 65, died suddenly on Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Joseph Health Care in Warren, Ohio. He was born on January 3, 1944 in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late Isaac D. and Mildred L. (Shumaker) Cole. A lifelong resident, Mr. Cole was a 1962 graduate of Maplewood High School. Mr. Cole was a carpenter, building many area homes as well as other projects. He was a member of the Greene Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, where he was active with the Regional Building Committee and served as an elder. On November 2, 1962 he married Bonnie J. Reeves. Mr. Cole enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family/friend get together's. He was always reaching out to help or keep in touch with others. His parents, and a son, Todd A. Cole, precede Mr. Cole in death. Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Bonnie J. Cole of Greene, Ohio; two sons, Eric S. (Jennifer) Cole of Medina, Ohio and Jason S. (Stacey) Cole of Greene, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Shelly A. Cole-Monley of Greene, Ohio; a sister, Carol Falkner of Mecca, Ohio; a brother, Fred M. (Martha) Cole of Vienna, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Melea, Ashley, Justin, Logan, Avarie, Isaac, Bryce, Landon and Noelle. He was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 4:00pm at Joseph Badger Schools Auditorium, 7118 State Route 7, Kinsman, Ohio.
