Alva A. "Al" Scott

Alva A. "Al" Scott, age 60, died Monday, November 17, 2008, in Clearwater, Florida. He was born March 23, 1948, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Walter M. Scott and Lucinda B. (Knapp) Cantrell. Al had resided in Cleveland, Ohio and Linesville, Pennsylvania, before moving to Florida where he worked hand in hand with his wife at Walmart in Oldsmar, FL. Al enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, studying religion, writing music/lyrics, driving to the beach with his wife in their Corvette, and utilizing his abilities to help others when given the opportunity. He is survived by his wife, Toni (Cronin) Scott, whom he married October 8, 1981, of Clearwater, FL; his son, Al (Wendy) Scott of New Lyme township, OH; three step sons, Alden (Hillary) Udell of Linesville, PA, Robert (Melissa) Udell of Andover, OH, and Leonard (Patty) Udell of Williamsfield,OH; and four grandsons and four granddaughters. Preceding him in death are his parents; and two grandsons, Matthew Udell and Corey Udell. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, OH.
