Andrew M. Holik, age 85, of Liberty, Ohio, died Monday, November 21, 2011, at Northside Medical Center. He was born September 26, 1926, in Gary, Indiana, a son of Andrew Holik and Magda (Poncsak) Holik. A resident of Liberty since 2010, Mr. Holik was formerly of Cortland and Middleburg Heights. He was a graduate of Gustavus High School; and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. Mr. Holik was the owner and manager of Western Auto in Kinsman, retiring in 1996. He formerly worked for Biggins Appliance and Service in Cortland from 1947 to 1970. He was a member of the VFW in Strongsville; and his hobbies included fishing and gardening. Mr. Holik is survived by four daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Schoonover of Pennsylvania, Linda Woods of Cortland,OH, Mary (George) Hornbeck of Cortland,OH, and Debra (Rokki) Rogan of Ft. Myers, FL; six grandchildren; a brother, John Holik of Columbia, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Nicholas Holik; and long time companion, Betty Martin.
