Andrew Edwin Lake

Richmond, Ohio - Andrew E. Lake, age 66, died on Friday, April 20, 2012, in Austinburg, Ohio. He was born on July 24, 1945, in New Lyme, Ohio, a son of Betty (Lake) and Paul Arthur Shreve. Mr. Lake served in the United States Army from 1964 until 1967. On January 5, 1973 he married Catherine Gail Levine. Mr. Lake worked in maintenance for the City of Miami and for Miami Beach; also in Plattsburg, New York on Plattsburg Air Force Base; and for a while he worked in security in Tennessee. He enjoyed farming and raising goats and was an avid sports fan. Mr. Lake is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, JoEllen Smith and a brother, David Shreve. Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Catherine G. Lake of Richmond; a sister, Sandy Dudley; three brothers, James, Joel, and Robert Shreve; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Brownville Cemetery in New Lyme Township. Following the service there will be a casual gathering at the New Lyme Township Hall for those that would like to attend. Memorial contributions may be made to the family at 5221 Hall Road, Dorset, OH 44032.
