Greenville, PA. - Andrew G. Maruschak, age 91, died on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at St. Paul Homes where he resided since 2001. He was born on March 12, 1915, in Fairport Harbor, Ohio to Michael and Elizabeth (Kleri) Maruschak. A Williamsfield, Ohio resident since 1979, Mr. Maruschak was formerly of Painesville, Ohio. He was a supervisor in the electrochemical dept. of the Diamond Shamrock Corp. (formerly Diamond Alkali Co.) in Fairport Harbor. Mr. Maruschak was an employee of the company for over forty-one years and retired in 1977. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church of Andover, Ohio, where he sang in the choir, was active in the men's club and was an usher. Mr. Maruschak was a life member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and landscaping. He leaves his loving wife of seventy years, Pauline C. Lohse, whom he married on July 27, 1936. Mr. Maruschak is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Margaret Wright and Elizabeth Hnath; five brothers, Michael, Joseph, William, Frank and John Maruschak. Survivors include his wife of Greenville, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Joyce Ann (Jerry) Yates of Germantown, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Virginia Vaughn of Abilene, Texas, Robert and Brian Yates both of Chicago, Illinois, and Barbara Yates of Memphis, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 South Main Street, Andover, Ohio, with Rev. Kevin McCaffrey officiating. A private burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio. Food and a time of fellowship will be held immediately following the Christian Mass at the Our Lady of Victory Church hall.
