Anita E. Magyar

Wayne Township, Ohio - Anita Elaine Magyar, age 83, passed away at home on Saturday, February 24, 2024, surrounded by her family.  She was born on November 21, 1940, in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of Anna (Baran) and Ralph David Boyle. Anita was a 1958 graduate of Deming High School, in New Lyme. On January 7, 1961, she married Robert "Bob" Joseph Magyar. Alongside her husband, Anita helped in the running of Magyar Farms in Wayne. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Orwell, Ohio.  Anita enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and loved polka dancing with her husband, Bob.  Anita was an avid bowler, bowling a perfect game on several occasions.  On many evenings and weekends, she could be found in the bleachers cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events.   

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of forty-seven years, Bob Magyar. Survivors include her four children, Lisa A. Magyar of Kinsman, Ohio, Jeffrey R. (Mary Beth) Magyar of Wayne, Ohio, Kathy M. (Mark) Miller of Highlands, North Carolina, and Laurie S. Magyar of Wayne, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Stephanie (Rob) Vickery, Jenn (Paul) Straley, Heather (Jordan) Fulton, Michelle (Jeff) Fisher, Rob Magyar, Michael (Brooke) Magyar, Rebecca (Rich) Waldo, Mitchell Inman,  Mackenzie Inman, Allison Magyar, and Mason Inman; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Kendra, Chase, Ty, Dash, Easton, Noah Robert, Noah Ray, Lila, Ethan, Connor, Hudson, Claire, Harlan, Nora, and Isla; a sister, Alana (Runo) Anderson of Georgia; and brother, Daniel (Wendy) Boyle of Oregon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, 103 North Maple Street, Orwell, Ohio, 44076, with Father Kevin McCaffrey officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until Mass begins at the church.
