Arlene L. Mitchell, age 84, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at her home. She was born March 3, 1931, in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of Wade M. and Ethel M. (Campbell) Sweitzer. Formerly of Orangeville, OH, Mrs. Mitchell was a Kinsman resident since 1965. She retired from Packard Electric; and was a member of Local #717 I.U.E. and the Tourist Club. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church; and she served as den leader for Cub Scouts when her children were young. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, but mostly loved to care for her family. Mrs. Mitchell married her husband, William J. Mitchell, Sr., on January 30, 1949, and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2013. Also preceding her are her parents; and three brothers, Randall, Robert, and Glenn Sweitzer. Survivors include three daughters, Virginia "Ginny" DeArment of Brookfield, OH, Carol L. (Frederick) Smith of Berlin Center, OH, and A. Lucy (Ed) Root of Vienna, OH; two sons, W. John (Sophia) Mitchell, Jr. of Warren,OH, and Dennis W. Mitchell of Brookfield, OH; two sisters, Linda Allen and Kathy Dunbar, both of Oak Ridge, TN; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-one great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio, with Rev. Eric Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Ridge Cemetery in West Salem Twp., Pennsylvania. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 31st from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home and also on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
