Arlene E. Vlock

Williamsfield, Ohio - Arlene E. Vlock, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 1, 1922 in Wayne, Ohio, a daughter of Ethel (Goff) and Paul DiBell, Sr. A lifelong area resident Arlene was a graduate of Gustavus High School. Arlene was a member of the West Williamsfield Congregational Church for many years. On April 25, 1942 she married Lawrence F. Vlock, together they operated Williamsfield Machine Shop for many years. Arlene was a member of the Richfield Grange, the Williamsfield Mother's Club, and was a volunteer for the Red Cross and volunteered at the Williamsfield Community Center keeping it in ship shape for many years. She enjoyed sewing and helping with community events. Arlene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of forty-five years; a grandson, Lonnie Vlock; two sisters, Katherine Lane and Shirley Simon; and eight brothers, Floyd, Neil, Robert, Edwin, Elwin, Paul Jr., Kenneth and Richard DiBell. Survivors include two sons, Larry Lee (Nola) Vlock of Sheffield, Ohio and Gary Leon Vlock of Williamsfield, Ohio; her sister, Mildred Dresnek of Williamsfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Annette Elwood of Laurens, South Carolina, Darla Painter of Jefferson, Ohio and Scott Vlock of Union, South Carolina and seven great grandchildren. A funeral services will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 10:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with Pastor Timothy M. Haidon officiating. Burial will follow in West Williamsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 31st from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
