Arnold Williams, 85 years old, of Johnston, Ohio, died on Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren, Ohio. Mr. Williams was born on July 27, 1918, in Dobra, WV, to the late Herbert Williams and the late Willie (Shultz) Williams. Formerly of Blue Creek, Ohio, Mr. Williams was a Johnston, Ohio, resident since 1977. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a truck driver for the Ideal Dairy Co. of Portsmouth, Ohio, for 15 years. He then worked for the Copeland Refrigeration Co. of West Union, Ohio, from 1970 until he retired in 1977. He married Helen Childres on October 11, 1938, she died in 1967. He then married Alice Cora Smith on October 24, 1967. Mr. Williams was a member of the Baily Barto #7614 VFW of Johnston. He enjoyed going to flea markets and his CB Radio. Along with his first wife and parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Louise Dotson, Mary Ann Dotson and Nora Myers; his step son, Raymond; his step daughter, Doris; and his grandson Bobby Ray Cochran. He is survived by his wife, Alice Cora Williams of Johnston, OH; his son, Roy Arnold (Emma) Williams of Blue Creek, OH; his daughter, Bobbi (Eugene) Kitchen of West Union, OH; his step son, Wes (Gerry) Westmoreland of Johnston, OH; his brother, Charles Williams of Miflin, WV; his brother, Harvey Williams of Madison, WV; his sister, Sis Cline of Madison, WV; his sister, Ora Dotson of Grundy, VA; three grandsons; five step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 11, 2004, at 10:00a.m. at Johnston Cemetery Chapel, with Oscar Grant officiating. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2004, from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW at P.O.
