Arthur Gruskiewicz

Arthur Gruskiewicz, age 66, of Wayne township,OH, died Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born July 14, 1951, in Warren,OH, a son of Walter and Betty Mae (Sutton) Gruskiewicz. A lifelong Wayne resident, Arthur was employed as the Vo-Ag teacher at Grand Valley High School in Orwell from 1989 until 2003 when he retired. He also owned and operated a farm in Wayne for many years. Arthur was a long time Wayne township trustee; and he served as an Ashtabula County Democratic chairman. He was a hard worker and was always so proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved music, taking walks in the woods, traveling, and had a love of wildlife. Arthur is survived by his wife, Ronnie G. (Hess) Gruskiewicz, whom he married August 31, 1974, of Wayne; his daughter, Sarah Benton of Wayne; his son, Mike (Donna) Gruskiewicz of Columbus,OH; his parents, Walter and Betty Gruskiewicz of Wayne; his 4 grandchildren, Nathan Benton, Gale Benton III, Zachary Benton, and Addison Gruskiewicz; three brothers, Ron Gruskiewicz of Wayne, Steve (Sherry) Gruskiewicz of Wayne, and Mike (Wendy) Gruskiewicz of New Lyme township; and his sister, Jacalyn (Tim) Kume of Wayne. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 6:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH.
