Arthur "Buddy" W. Stritch

Cherry Valley, Ohio - Arthur "Buddy" William Stritch, age 77 died on Sunday, November 2, 2014. He was born on May 16, 1937 in Perry, Ohio, a son of Helen Henrietta (Wetzel) and James Arthur Stritch. Buddy served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1963 in the 3rd Battalion of the 76th Artillery. He was a mechanic and loved to tinker with just about everything. On September 20, 1959 he married Clarissa Mae Pauley. Buddy enjoyed fishing and gardening, riding 4-Wheelers and being a good friend to everyone. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marjorie and Shirley and a brother, James. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Clarissa Mae Stritch of Cherry Valley, Ohio; two daughters, Connie S. West of Andover, Ohio and Tammy J.(Patrick) Lumley of Greenville, Pennsylvania; two sons, Thomas A. (Dolores) Stritch of Lincolnton, North Carolina and David W. (Sheri) Stritch of Andover, Ohio; a sister, Carol A. Murray of Painesville, Ohio; eight grandchildren and a great grandson. A Celebration of Buddy's life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 5:00pm at the Cherry Valley Town Hall on the corner of State Routes 193 & 6. The family will be receiving guests from 3:00pm until 5:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
