Sheffield, Ohio - Barbara J. Orth, age 71, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 20, 1938, in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of Edith A. (Douglas) and Raymond M. Darby. On July 5, 1956, she married Guy F. Orth. She attended the Living Water Baptist Church of North Kingsville, Ohio. Mrs. Orth enjoyed singing gospel songs and playing the accordion, cooking, crocheting baby clothes and rocking babies. Preceding Mrs. Orth is death is her parents; her stepfather, Ottis DeBoard; a son, Guy F. Orth; a granddaughter, Angela Gonzalez and a sister, Betty J. Hinkle. Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Guy F. Orth; four daughters, Guyanna (Fino) Gonzalez of Ashtabula, Ohio, Kristi (Delphine) Lopes of Jayuya, Puerto Rico, Kathy (Wilson) DeJesus and Patsy (Chuck Nordquest) Sharpe both of Ashtabula, Ohio; three sons, John (Virginia) Orth of Denver, Tennessee, Tim (Mitzi) Orth of Andover, Ohio and Matthew (Kathy) Orth of Sheffield, Ohio; twenty grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren, two great great grandsons with three additional great great grandchildren on the way. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral Home 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Joe A. Ernspiker officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Williamsfield Community Center after the internment. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 13th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
