Betty J. Dilley

Betty J. Dilley, age 89, of Gustavus township, OH, died Thursday, May 16, 2013. She was born May 22, 1923 in North Bloomfield, OH, a daughter of Elmer Ellsworth and Georgia (Culver) Williams. A long time Gustavus resident, Mrs. Dilley was a 1940 graduate of North Bloomfield High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at McGill Septic Tank Co. in Kinsman for 39 years, retiring in 2008; and the North Bloomfield Livestock Auction for over 60 years. She was a waitress at Times Square Restaurant in Kinsman for several years. She was a member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church where she served as organist for 57 years. Betty also served as organist for Baumgardner Funeral Homes from 1978. Mrs. Dilley married Kenneth E. Dilley on June 28, 1970. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1999. She is also preceded in death by her parents; her young daughter Therese Anne Titus; two grandchildren, Tammy Lee and Victor Ernest Kopp Jr.; former husband W. Robert Titus; infant brother William Williams; sister Lena M. Williams; and her nephew William Earl Skeels. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara S. (Henry) Evans of Gustavus township, OH, R. Jean (Timothy) Compan of Greene township, OH, and Margaret Jo "Peg" Kopp of Gustavus township, OH; one son Thomas R. Titus of Columbiana, OH; 9 Grandchildren Hayley, Timothy Jr., Jeffrey, Jennifer, Tiffany, Sherry, Brian, Trisha and Tommy; and 26 Great Grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Kinsman United Methodist Church, 8362 Main St., Kinsman, OH, with Rev. David McKinnon officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, May 19th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH.
