Betty B. Engel

Dorset, Ohio - Betty B. Engel, age 68, died on Sunday, December 21, 2008. She was born on October 13, 1940, in Springboro, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Everett and Winafred (Stevens) Bates. Mrs. Engel was a 1958 graduate of Seacrest High School in Boco Raton. Formerly of Pennsylvania and Florida, Mrs. Engel was a longtime resident of Dorset. On May 30, 1971 she married Robert A. Engel. She attended the Dorset United Methodist Church and was employed with the former Andover Industries. Mrs. Engel enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, fishing and hunting. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Neal and Clifford Bates. Survivors include her husband of thirty-seven years, Robert Engel of Dorset, Ohio; three daughters, Deborah C. (Carl) Lewis, and Erica D. (Charles Moisio) Engel both of Andover, Ohio and Nancy R. (Justin) Gruskiewics of Kinsman, Ohio; five grandchildren, Mitchell, Sasha, Savannah, Austin and Darrin. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 from Noon to 2:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
