Betty A. Posey

Betty A. Posey, age 72, of Kinsman, Ohio, died Saturday, December 3, 2005 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born September 29, 1933 in Webster Springs, West Virginia, to Rev. Lonnie R. and Velva M. (Hamrick) Armentrout. A long time Kinsman resident, Mrs. Posey was a homemaker. She was a past member of Bronzwood Golf Course; a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 506, Kinsman; and with her husband, she was secretary/treasurer of the Thursday night Men's League at Bronzwood for 37 years. Her hobbies included embroidery, flower gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. Mrs. Posey married Roy L. Posey on December 29, 1952, and is preceded in death by him on April 5,1994. Also preceding her in death are her parents, a brother, Larry Armentrout, and two sisters, Georgia Rollman and Beverly Fahrion. Mrs. Posey is survived by her two sons, Mark A. Posey of Kinsman, OH, and Rick L. Posey of Marion, OH; her daughter, Kathy E. McLaughlin of Kinsman, OH; a granddaughter, Jennifer Posey of Kinsman,OH; one sister, Lura Rankin of Cortland, OH; and three brothers, Phillip and Rodney Armentrout of Florence, Mississippi, and David Armentrout of Mt. Vernon,OH. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 7th from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
