Betty E. Staats

Williamsfield, Ohio - Betty E. (Jones)Staats, age 65, died on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at her residence. She was born on May 22, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward Jones and Aretta (Hooker) Rutkowski. Mrs. Staats Married James L. Staats in July of 1969. She attended Our Lady of Victory Church in Andover, Ohio and was a member of the Ladies Aux. Jamestown VFW. Mrs. Staats enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, quilting and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents; her Husband; two brothers, Gerald and Corky Rutkowski; and a sister, Patricia Peltier. Survivors include three sons, Joseph E. (Mira Sugar) Jones and Rick V. (Diane Skinner) Staats both of Williamsfield, Ohio, and Shawn R. Staats of Andover, Ohio; two daughters, Janice L. (Richard) DiBell of Ripley, Tennessee and Donna S. (Dale) Cole of Williamsfield, Ohio; two brothers, Robert E. (Rose) Rutkowski of Euclid, Ohio and Dennis Walters Rutkowski of Cleveland, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Jamie Lynn, Richard, Anthony, Josh, Jeremy, Justin, Brandon, Amanda, Hunter and Lexi; great grandchildren, Cruze, Camry and Alina. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist Church of Andover, Ohio, with Jason M. Hockran officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, Ohio. Please join the family for food and fellowship following the committal service at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Andover.
