Beverly J. Coon

Beverly J. Coon, age 67, of Wayne township, OH, died Saturday, February 28, 2009 at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville, PA. She was born February 18, 1942 in Wick, OH, the daughter of Henry and Millie (Stevenson) Squibbs. A lifetime area resident, Beverly was a 1960 graduate of Andover High School. She worked at Isaly's in Andover, the Andover Motel, and the A & P before retiring from Pymatuning Valley Schools after working in the cafeteria for many years. Her hobbies included crafting, canning, cooking, and she had many collections. She is survived by her husband, Arthur L. Coon, whom she married October 19, 1967, of Wayne; her two sons, Leon Coon and his fiance, Louisa, of Newport News, VA, and Todd Coon and his wife, Penny, of Herndon, VA; her two granddaughters, Jennifer and Erika Coon of Herndon, VA; one sister, Martha (William) Dennis of Howland,OH; one brother, David (Diane) Squibbs; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Eileen Welty. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne township, OH. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, March 3rd from 6 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
