BONITA M. MINER, age 97, of Williamsfield, Ohio, died Friday, August 17, 2007, at Andover Village Retirement Community in Andover, Ohio. She was born April 7, 1910, in Gustavus, Ohio, the daughter of William and Flora (Logan) Morford. A lifetime area resident, Bonnie lived in Williamsfield for the past ten years. She was a 1929 Wayne High School graduate. Bonnie worked at the basket factory in Wayne and Williamsfield for many years; and was employed at the manufacturing plant for shellcasings during the war. She was a member of the Wayne Congregational Church, the Ladies Missionary Society, and was a 73 year member of the Richfield, State, and National Grange. Bonnie enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and sewing. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan; and enjoyed her family and helping others. Bonnie married Lyle E. Miner on January 16, 1933. He preceded her in death in 1976. Also preceding her in death are her parents and two brothers, Floyd and Merle Morford. She is survived by her son, Leslie (Gerry) Miner of Westerville,OH; her daughter, Ardis May of Williamsfield,OH, whom she made her home with the last ten years; six grandchildren, Rhonda (Brad) Launderville of Champlin, Minnesota, Stephanie (Jerry) Walker of Westerville, OH, Maureen Miner of Westerville, OH, Gary (Shari) May of Spicer, Minnesota, Cheryl (Scott) Spencer of Andover,OH, and Douglas (Jennifer) May of Clintonvile, PA; six great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and many close relatives. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH, with Pastor Lori Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne, OH. Calling hours will be on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
