Buford Williams

Buford Williams, age 59, of Williamsfield, Ohio, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at University Hospital Case Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. He was born July 13, 1953, in Mansfield, OH, a son of Charles Edward and Susie Mae (Hayden) Williams. Formerly of Chardon, Ohio, Buford had lived in Williamsfield for the past 37 years with his wife, Sherilyn L. (Williams). They were married August 16, 1975. Buford was employed over the years by Heather Hill Care Center in Chardon; the State of Ohio Parks & Recreation Department; and Locke Machines in Andover. He was a veteran having served in both the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard. Buford belonged to A.A. for 28 years; and he helped deliver meals to those in need for the Country Neighbor program. Buford loved to play the lottery; and he enjoyed being with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Sherilyn L. Williams of Williamsfield,OH; five brothers, Robert Lee Hayden of Washington, D.C., Charles Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Eldrey and Allen Williams, both of South Bend, IN, and Eddie (Rose Mary) Williams of Fort Worth, TX; two sisters, Peggy Williams of South Bend, IN, and Mary Ann Wright of Mansfield,OH; his mother-in-law, Lorena Williams of Williamsfield, OH; two sister-in-laws, Nita Williams of Columbus, OH, and Ruth Williams of Mansfield,OH; one brother-in-law, Miles Parker of South Bend, IN; a special aunt, Addie Pugh of Birmingham, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence, David, and Leon Williams; and one sister, Sandra Parker. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH.
