Burkett H. Webb

Burkett H. Webb, age 81, of Wayne Township, Ohio, died Monday, December 14, 2009 at Andover Village Retirement Community. He was born January 4, 1928, in Ironsburg, Tennessee, the son of Hobert Webb and Beulah (Brannon) Wilson. A long time resident of Wayne Township, Mr. Webb was formerly of Cleveland. He retired in 1978 from Owen Bucket Co. in Cleveland after 22 years. He attended the Cherry Valley United Methodist Church; and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Alma J. (Stout) Webb, whom he married March 24, 1956, of Wayne Township, OH; his son, Jim Webb, of Wayne Township; his granddaughter, Alysia Groscost of Strongsville, OH; his great grandson, Owen George of Strongsville; and his nephew, Joseph Presley of Garfield Hts., OH. He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Betty Jo Webb, a daughter, Jinger Webb on Nov. 2, 2005; and his half sister, Carol Wilson. A funeral service will be Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. John Germaine officiating. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery, Wayne Township, OH. Calling hours will be Friday, December 18th from 4 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
