Burtis Anthony Morse

Williamsfield, Ohio - Burtis Anthony Morse, I, age 61, died at his home on Saturday, June 1, 2013. He was born on November 29, 1951, in Riverside, California, a son of Ruth Ann (Sprague) and Burtis Alfred Morse. Mr. Morse served in the United States Army from March 1973 until July 1979, having been in Germany and Korea. On November 29, 1975, he married Beverly Ann Poling. He was a shipping clerk for Johnsonite of Middlefield, Ohio for over seventeen years and retired in March of this year. Mr. Morse enjoyed reading and gardening and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Theresa Morse and his guardian, Yogi. Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Beverly A. Morse of Williamsfield, Ohio; a daughter, Gina E. Helsel of Ashtabula, Ohio; two sons, Burtis A. Morse, II of Andover, Ohio and Joshua A. (Heather) Morse of Andover, Ohio; four grandchildren, Samantha, Clarissa, Kloey, Blake and one on the way; with many other family and friends that will miss him dearly. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 7:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
