Lenox, Ohio - Carl Newton "Peanut" Jones, age 51, died on Sunday, July 8, 2018. He was born on September 1, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Frances Elizabeth (Smith) and Donald Emery Jones. Peanut was a 1986 graduate of Jefferson High School. Working in landscaping for many years, Peanut was a member of the Jefferson Eagles and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed a good football game or baseball game. Peanut is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, April Sharon Smith and Darlene Lengyl and a brother, Kenneth Glover. Survivor include his longtime companion, Patty Pachin; two sisters, Betty Jean (Dave) Seiffert of Jefferson and Arlene Hypes of Cleveland; three brothers, W. Newton Jones of Lakewood, Ronald W. (Cheryl) Jones and Martin E. "Skip" Jones both of Pierpont; many nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend Jimbo Shreve. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11:00am at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Lenox Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 12th from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and from 6:00PM until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
