Carl R. Trask,

CARL R. TRASK, SR., age 56, of Cherry Valley township, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 4, 2008, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Andover, Ohio. He was born June 17, 1952, in Warren, OH, the son of Edwin C. and Alice M. (McClusky) Trask. A lifetime area resident, Carl was a 1970 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School in Andover. He was a carpenter of Local 95, retiring in 2003. Carl was a member of the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene; and he enjoyed golfing, skiing, and sailing. In his retirement Carl enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the company of his many friends and family. Carl is survived by his loving wife, Mary E. (Johns) Trask, whom he married May 6, 1972, of Cherry Valley; his two loving children, Jennifer E. Trask of Fairview Park, OH, and Carl R. "Chip" Trask, Jr. of Dorset, OH; his beloved grandchildren, Zachary R. Trask of Dorset, and Joseph C. Ray of Jefferson; and Carl was a loving mentor to Joseph Ray's half brother, Kevin R. Deitrich. He is also survived by his mother, Alice M. Trask of Pierpont, OH; and five brothers, Mike Trask of Columbus, OH, Larry Trask of Dorset, OH, George Trask of New London, OH, Ray Trask of Dublin,OH, and Paul Trask of Dayton,OH. He is preceded in death by his father; and one brother, David Trask. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jefferson Church of the Nazarene, 55 E. Satin St., Jefferson,OH. A private burial of cremated remains will take place later in Dorset Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, July 8th from 3 to 5 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH.
