Carleita H. Bower

Mecca, Ohio - Carleita H. Bower, age 87, died on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Paul Homes in Greenville, Pennsylvania. She was born on August 1, 1927 in New Lyme, Ohio, a daughter of Grace Anna (Klump) and Carl Tuckerman Hubbard. Mrs. Bower was a 1945 graduate of New Lyme Deming High School. On December 18, 1953 she married Robert S. Bower. She was formerly a member of the West Mecca Presbyterian Church and the Mecca Travel Club. Mrs. Bower enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, making crafts, gardening, going on car rides, cooking and baking for her family and friends and she was an avid bird watcher. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, three sisters, Alberta, Ellajean and Lucille and one brother, Robert. Survivors include one daughter, Diane G. (Paul) Dohrn of Colebrooke, Ohio; four sons, Eugene D. (Vickie) Bower of Vernon, Ohio, Allan R. (Amy) Bower of Cortland, Ohio, Kevin D. (Jeanette) Bower of Orwell, Ohio and Roger S. Bower of Cortland, Ohio; a sister, Alice Clare "Auntie" Woofter of Mecca, Ohio and a brother, Roger Hubbard of Hudson, Ohio along with 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. At Mrs. Bowers request a private service was held and burial was in Kinsman Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
