Carlos"Carl" L. Neuroth

Carlos "Carl" L. Neuroth, age 70, of Andover, Ohio, died Friday, February 24, 2012,at St. Joseph Emergency Center in Andover. He was born August 17, 1941, in Winters, Texas, a son of John F. L. and Josephine (Bullock) Neuroth. A resident of Andover for the past 35 years, Mr. Neuroth was formerly of Conneautville, PA, and Phoenix, AZ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he worked as a boilermaker and served on the U.S.S. Shangrilla. He was a certified welder and was employed as a boilermaker for the Local #744, Cleveland, for over 35 years, retiring in 1997 as Superintendant. Mr. Neuroth was an avid fisherman and loved to take his pontoon boat out on the lake. In his younger years, he enjoyed and was talented at restoring homes. He enjoyed listening to country, big band, and jazz music; woodworking, tinkering with machines, and welding. He had a great sense of humor; and was very proud of his grandchildren. He was very family oriented and loved to spend time with and care for them. Mr. Neuroth married Diane K. (Riley) on May 14, 1988. She survives him and resides in Andover. He is also survived by four daughters, Theresa Emig of Linesville, PA, Catherine (Jon) Munger of Ocklawaha, FL, Amanda (Douglas) Sanford of Crawfordville, FL, and Gabrielle Neuroth of Andover,OH; two step sons, Todd (Carol) Rose of Shenandoah Junction, WV, and John (Debra) Rose of Baltimore, MD; 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; one brother, Terry Neuroth of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Sue (Frank "Bud") Nelson of Benson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy M. (Fredericks) Neuroth; and one sister, Freda Flanders. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 28th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM Tuesday night. Cremation will follow services.
