Carmella M. Lance

CARMELLA M. "CAM" LANCE, age 81, of Andover, Ohio, died Monday, January 7, 2008, at Hospice Of The Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born December 2, 1926, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank Catalano, Sr. and Margaret (Quoresimo) Catalano. Formerly of Meadville,Pennsylvania, Cam was a long time Andover resident. She owned and operated Lance Sewing Center of Struthers, Ohio for over fifteen years, where she taught sewing classes. Cam was a member of the Andover Christian Church; and was a Girl Scout troop leader for many years. Cam enjoyed gardening, water color painting, quilting, and scrapbooking. She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Leslie Jones and Virginia Piccione; a step daughter, Carol Bogden; one brother, Frank Catalano, Jr.; and her step mother, Josephine (Parise) Catalano. Survivors include a daughter, Janice E. Lance, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; four sons, Ray C. Lance, of Dunnellon, Florida, James E. Lance, of Lake Worth, Florida, Steven D. Lance, of Twinsburg, Ohio, and Kenneth C. Lance, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; a step daughter, Patricia Lance, of Oakmont, Pennsylvania; one sister, Grace M. Teed, of Meadville, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the Andover Christian Church, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be Friday, January 11th from 6 to 8 P.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
