Carol Sue Gintling, age 57, passed peacefully with her loving sisters by her side on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at University Hospital in Cleveland,OH. She was born May 26, 1961, in Chardon,OH, a daughter of A.J. and Virginia (Hunt) Holtsclaw. Formerly from Aurora, OH, Carol lived in the Dorset area for more than 17 years. Due to declining health concerns she spent the last 3 years residing at Saybrook Landing in Ashtabula, OH. An adamant dog lover, Carol shared her home with her fur babies Angel, Abby, and Speckles. She also enjoyed watching her beloved nieces, Jennifer, Martina, Bobbie Sue, Brandie, Angie, Lisa, and nephew, Kevin, grow up. Carol loved to plan parties and vacations and spend time with her family. Always willing to lend a hand to help or an ear to listen Carol was a blessing to all her family and friends that knew her best. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Nancy (Jim) Black of Parkman,OH, Kathleen Sharar of Virginia Beach, VA, and Doris (Martin) Dragich of Dorset, OH; and her brother, Gage (Drew) Hunt of Seattle, WA. She is preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at 6:00 PM at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover,OH. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4:00 PM until the time of service. A private interment will take place in Dorset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family.
