CAROL M. OVERLY, age 64, of Andover, Ohio, died Thursday, December 20, 2007, at her daughter's home after complications following an aneurysm. She was born May 15, 1943, in Kinsman, Ohio, the daughter of James B. and Cleora M. (Coats) Wallace. A long time Andover resident, Carol was a homemaker. She attended the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Andover. She was a member of the Percy D. Hyatt Post #226 American Legion Auxiliary in Andover; the Bronzewood Golf League in Kinsman; and the Bowling League in Jefferson. She also was involved with the Toys for Tots program at the Air Force Base in Vienna. Carol enjoyed gardening, attending her children and grandchildren's sports activities, and was an active member of Curves in Andover. Carol married John R. "Jack" Overly on July 11, 1964. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2001. Also preceding her are her parents; and a grandson, Taylor Jay Plizga. She is survived by her two daughters, Jackie L. (Raymond) Plizga of North Bloomfield,OH, and Julie K. (Glenn) Day of Andover, OH; five grandchildren, Casey and Brandy Romanowski, Tyler Plizga, and John and Victoria Day; a sister, Judy Wallace of Andover; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Gretchen Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 26th from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
