Carol Virginia Rodgers

Kinsman, Ohio - Carol V. Rodgers, age 78, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014. She was born on August 11, 1935, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, the daughter of Sophie (McDermott) and Clinton T. Schneider. Formerly of Ashley Falls, Massachusetts, Carol was a resident of Kinsman, Ohio, since 1972. A graduate of Searles High School in Great Barrington, she worked for the United States Postal Service as a Rural Carrier for Farmdale, Ohio. On March 23, 1972, she married L. Anthony Rodgers. Together they loved to travel by vehicle and train. Carol had a great sense of humor. She loved animals, wildlife, and enjoyed horseback riding. She is preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Charlotte Mae Schneider; her husband of thirty-six years, Tony; a son, Thomas F. Everidge; her grandson, Devon A. Everidge and her brothers, John A. Schneider, Frederick A. Schneider, and Robert J. Schneider. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia C. "Ginger" Marston of Enfield, Connecticut; a son William (Bobbi) Everidge of Cortland, Ohio; four grandchildren Clinton, Andrew, Erika and Taylor and four great-grandchildren Savanna, Ryder, Warren and Kyler. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 3:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of services. Private burial will be in Kinsman Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Welfare League in her memory. As Carol would say "Please SLOW down when entering the property. Watch for squirrels, pussy cats, bunnies, skunks and raccoons. They live here - You Don't!
