Carol L. Schaff

Carol L. Schaff, age 66, of Andover, Ohio, died Thursday, August 18, 2005, at University Hospitals of Cleveland. She was born December 26, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Wesley C. and Mary K. (Fisher) Rank. Formerly of Cleveland, Mrs. Schaff had lived in Andover since 1985. She was a 1957 Collinwood High School graduate, and she attended the Fenn College of Nursing. She was employed by Sears in Cleveland for over 25 years in the advertising department as a proofreader, retiring in 1984. Mrs. Schaff was a member of the Western Reserve Chapter #71, O.E.S.; and she enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Schaff married Francisco J. Schaff on January 30, 1971, and is preceded in death by him on August 25, 1994. She is also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marjorie E. Rank; and a brother, Charles L. Rank. Mrs. Schaff is survived by two sons, Stephen C. (Bonita) Schaff of Kingsville, OH; and Nicholas J. Schaff of Dorset, OH; and two daughters, Elizabeth R. Fink and Julia K. Schaff, both of Andover, OH; one brother, John W. Rank of Deltone, FL; and five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2005, at 1p.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH, with Rev. Scott Ressman officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Center Cemetery, Richmond Township, OH.
