Carrie Marie Fleming

Kinsman, Ohio - Carrie Marie Fleming, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Meadow-brook Manor of Hartford, after an extended illness. A lifelong Kinsman resident, she was born on September 21, 1930, in Kinsman, Ohio, a daughter of Hattie May (Clark) and George Hugh Gilmore. Mrs. Fleming was a 1949 graduate of Kinsman, Ohio. As a young lady she helped her mother at the Kinsman Colonial Tea Room for many years and later worked at the former Ohio Lamp. On January 20, 1952 she married Kenneth A. Fleming. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren of Bristolville. Mrs. Fleming was quick to stop at any yard and garage sale and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She cared for her multitude of house plants and gardens and was known to love and care for her pets. Mrs. Fleming is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty-nine years, Kenneth; a sister, Lila Wahl and two brothers, Howard and Fern Gilmore. Survivors include two daughters, Marlene M. (David) Waters of Andover, Ohio and Ardena K. Sines of Cortland, Ohio; a son, Donald E. (Angel) Fleming of Kinsman, Ohio; four grandchildren, Rhonda, Patricia (Bill), Dion (Jennifer) and Carrie May (Shawn) and seven great grandchildren, Kyle, Christopher, Cory, Kaylee, Téa, Elizabeth and Kathrine. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Saturday, January 5th from 11:00am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Brethren of Bristolville.
