Charleen S. (Kingsley) Barbato

CHARLEEN S. (KINGSLEY) BARBATO, age 80, of Ashtabula, Ohio, died Monday, September 17, 2007, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio. She was born November 9, 1926, in Andover,Ohio, to Darwin W. and Clairabelle E. (Tuttle) Kingsley. Formerly of Andover, Mrs. Barbato had lived in Ashtabula since 1947. She was employed as a school teacher for Ashtabula City Schools for twenty years. She was a member of the Second Congregational United Church of Christ in Ashtabula; a member of Order of the Eastern Star; and a member of the Kent State University Alumni Association. She enjoyed gourmet cooking, decorating, gaming at various casinos and wintering in Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Barbato is survived by her husband, Dominic J. Barbato, whom she married November 15, 1947, of Ashtabula, and her two sons, Ronald J. Barbato and Randall S. Barbato, both of Saybrook,OH. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Karl "Doc" Kingsley. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
