Charles J. Bradford, 94 years old, of Gustavus Twp., Ohio, died on Sunday, January 2, 2005, at home. Mr. Bradford was born on July 15, 1910, in Kinsman, Ohio, to the late James N. Bradford and the late Josephine (Claus) Bradford. A lifelong Gustavus Township resident, Mr. Bradford was a 1928 graduate of Gustavus School. He owned and operated a farm and was employed by the Trumbull County Highway Department for 30 years, retiring in 1976. Mr. Bradford owned and operated "Bradford's Sportsman Paradise" in Canada for a number of years also. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps; was a member of the Kinsman Christian and Missionary Alliance Church; and was a founding member of the former Gustavus Conservation Club. His hobbies included fishing and hunting and he loved his garden. He was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Mr. Bradford is survived by his wife of 69 years, Gladys I. (Brainard), whom he married August 26, 1935; his daughter, Nancy L. (Keith) Dailey of Oronogo, MO; his son, Alan D. (Dianne) Bradford of Gustavus; his daughter, Janice E. Bradford of Gustavus; his son, LeRoy G. (Jackie) Bradford of Vernon; his sister, Helen Gallant of Linesville, PA; and his six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two sons, Charles R. Bradford and another infant son; a sister, Lucy Engle; and an infant brother. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio, with Pastor Shawn Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Gustavus Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 5th from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at the funeral home.
