Charles O. Dietrich

CHARLES O. DIETRICH, age 78, of Andover, Ohio, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2006, at UPMC Horizon Hospital in Greenville,PA. He was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Cleveland, Ohio, to George and Mary (Brown) Dietrich. A long time Andover resident, Mr. Dietrich was formerly of Rock Creek. He was employed as a lineman for C.E.I., retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Andover Christian Church, formerly the Andover Church of Christ; and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Dietrich was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Dietrich is survived by his son, Mark C. Dietrich of Conneaut,OH; his daughter, Lisa A. Dietrich of Ashtabula,OH; four step-sons, Richard L. Thompson of Dorset, OH, Gary I. Thompson of Andover, OH, Ernest H. Thompson of Andover,OH, and Arden L. Whitt of Marion,OH; one step daughter, Roberta A. Huber of Bend, OR; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marilyn M. (Presley) Dietrich, and second wife, Audrey R. (May) Dietrich; a brother, Hollis Dietrich, and a sister, Barbara Lenart. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Andover Christian Church, Stillman Ave., Andover, OH, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial of Mr. Dietrich's cremated remains will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the church, P.O. Box 1268, Andover, OH 44003.
