Charles H. Smith, 94 years old, of Kinsman, Ohio, died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. Mr. Smith was born on May 22, 1910, in Gustavus, Ohio, to the late Walter A. Smith and the late Mary E. (Lane) Smith. Formerly of Gustavus, Mr. Smith was a Kinsman resident since the early 1930's. He was a 1928 graduate of Gustavus High School. Mr. Smith worked for Republic Steel of Warren, as a shipping foreman for over 38 years, retiring in 1973. He farmed in Gustavus early in his life and later owned his own farm where he raised his seven children. Mr. Smith was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church, the Gustavus Masonic Lodge #422, and the Kinsman Order of Eastern Star, where he was past Patron, and he was a life member of the Trumbull County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed doing carpentry and "tinkering". Mr. Smith married Margaret K. Keeler in June of 1934. She died on March 23, 1969. He then married Frances Beck Brown in July of 1971. She died on June 4, 1996. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by a son, Reid E. Smith; and a son-in-law, James M. Sealy. He is survived by his daughter, Donna J. Sealy of Kinsman, OH; his son, Mr. C. Richard (Colleen) Smith of Kinsman, OH; his son, Thomas A. (Jean) Smith of Paris, OH; his son, James A. (Judy) Smith of Kinsman, OH; his daughter, Eltha S. (Art) Logan of Gustavus, OH; his daughter, Elaine C. (Bob) Smith-Guiraud of Hartford, OH; nineteen grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2004, at 11:00a.m. at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, with the Reverend Larry A. Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Johnston Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2004, from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the funeral home, with Eastern Star services beginning at 8p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church at P.O.
