Charles J. Parker

Cortland, Ohio - Charles J. Parker, age 63, died on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Warren, Ohio. He was born on June 16, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Ada M. (Smith) and Raymond M. Parker. Charlie was a 1965 graduate of Lakeview High School and a lifelong area resident. He worked for Delphi Packard of Warren for thirty-two years, retiring in 2001. On September 10, 1988 he married Rhonda K. Hoffstetter. Charlie was formerly a member of the Cortland Methodist Church. He had a love of cars, he enjoyed taking his 1932 Ford to swap meets and car cruises. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Brenda Parker; his step-mother, Ruth M. Parker and his brother, Larry R. Parker. Survivors include his wife of twenty-two years, Rhonda K. Parker of Johnston, Ohio; a daughter, Wendy R. Parker of Danerfield, Texas and his step-father, Manson Smith of Vienna, Ohio. A memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 7:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio.
