Charles J. Vlach

Charles J. Vlach, Jr. age 69, of Holiday Camplands, Andover Twp. died Thursday, Dec. 1. 2011 at Lake Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Conneaut, Ohio. Mr. Vlach was born on Dec. 27, 1941 in Cleveland , Ohio, the son of Charles J. Vlach, Sr. and Mary B. (Thomas) Vlach. An Andover resident for the past 25 years, Mr. Vlach was formerly of Cleveland Ohio where he was employed as an electrician with the former Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. He retired from there in 1995. Mr. Vlach married his wife, Susan M. (Jarzen) on July 26, 1969. Mr. Vlach was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Viet Nam. Mr. Vlach loved his family and enjoyed campfires with his family and friends. Mr. Vlach was preceded in death by his parents and two granddaughters, Samantha C. Shrum and Maria C. Vlach. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 sons John P. Vlach, James M. Vlach, and Joseph E. Vlach all of Ashtabula, and Jesse L. Mooney of Cleveland; one daughter, Heidi A. Julian of McAllen, Texas; a sister Marilyn Jelinek of Strongsville; 7 grandsons, Dakota J. Vlach, Charles C. Vlach and James M. Vlach, Jr., James L. Hunt, all of Ashtabula, Christopher L. Shrum, Jeremy A. Shrum and Alex M. Julian, all of McAllen, Texas; 9 granddaughters, Andrea M Vlach, Emily C. Vlach, Alexis E. Pyros, all of N. Olmsted, Kimberly A. Vlach, Ettamae L. Vlach, Kaily A. Vlach, all of Ashtabula, Hailey N. Julian, and Katie A. Julian, both of McAllen, Texas, and Mya L. Mooney of Cleveland. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at 2:00 PM at the Pymatuning Aerie #4035, Fraternal Order of Eagles, 6414 State Rt. 85, Andover, Ohio.
