Charles Huntley Warren, 87, of Columbiana, OH, died Friday, September 7, 2012. The son of Floyd and Nellie (Douglas) Warren, Charles was born June 16, 1925 in Bloomfield, Ohio. Charles is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly R. (Carpenter) Warren. Charles and Beverly were married January 10, 1946 at the First Methodist Church in Warren, Ohio. Charles is also survived by a daughter, Vivian (Thomas) Keller of Columbiana, OH, and a son, Charles C. (Gail) Warren of Corpus Christi, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Megan Cina, Christopher Kover, Todd Kover, Paul Keller, John Keller, Robin Keller and Carl Murphy; and 12 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers, Dr. Floyd Warren of Ligonier, Indiana and Kenneth Warren of Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three brothers, Calvin Warren, Harlan Warren, and Philip Warren. A graduate of Greene High School in 1943, Charles enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served aboard the Battleship USS California during World War II. His service included the Battles of Surigao Straight in 1944 and Okinawa in 1945. Charles was employed by Packard Electric for 31 years as a Production Control Supervisor. Charles was also employed as a Bus Driver for the Canfield School District for 10 years. He was a member of the Canfield and Columbiana Methodist Churches. When he was younger, Charles was active in golf and bowling leagues and in his later years enjoyed walking his Scottie Dogs, Bonnie and Brindy. He was an avid sports fan. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 8569 Main St., Kinsman, OH, with Rev. Paula K. Archdeacon, of the Columbiana Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Brownwood Cemetery, North Bloomfield, OH, where military honors will be performed by the Cortland American Legion Post #540. Calling hours will be on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Columbiana Methodist Church, 210 S.
