Fort Myers, Florida – Charles C. “Jack” Mullins, age 74, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on December 29, 1939, in Jolo, West Virginia, a son of Edna Griffith and Erman Mullins. Formerly of Andover, Ohio, Mr. Mullins was a resident of Fort Myers for the past 34 years. While in Andover he owned Big Chucks Drive In and Pizza and Brookside Restaurant both in Andover and was a retired truck driver. On September 13, 1957 he married Janet Pouttu. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, spending time with his family and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Mr. Mullins is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, E.J. Mullins. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Janet Mullins of Fort Myers, Florida; a daughter, Brenda L. (Tim) Greenwell of Fort Myers, Florida and a son Chuck D. (Jill) Mullins of Fort Myers, Florida; two sisters, Helen Boden of Mount Morris, Pennsylvania and Linda Richardson of Greenville, Texas; four brothers, William Mullins of Del Rio, Texas, Delmer Mullins of Ashtabula, Ohio, Elmer Mullins of Geneva, Ohio and Doug Mullins of Baltimore, Ohio; four grandchildren, Nichole, Ryan, Allison, Lindsay and two great grandchildren, Randy and Madi. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 4:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2:00pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
