Cheryl M. Melvin

Cheryl M. Melvin, age 68, of Kinsman, OH, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, OH. She was born October 5, 1950, in Warren, OH, a daughter of William R. Roscoe, Sr. and Helen R. (Miller) Roscoe. A lifetime area resident, Cheryl was a 1968 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. She was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Kinsman for 22 years. Cheryl was a member of the Kinsman Presbyterian Church where she served on Session and was formerly a Deacon and an Elder. She enjoyed flower gardening, bowling, doing crafts, and doing ceramics at her parents' "Roscoe's Ceramic Hut". She also loved to attend her grandchildren's sporting events. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Robert L. Melvin, Sr., whom she married February 15, 1980, of Kinsman; her two sons, Jeff Betts of Gustavus township,OH, and Robert Melvin Jr. of Kinsman, OH; two step daughters, Melinda Molek of Vienna, OH, and Rebecca Wingard of Lexington, SC; her seven grandchildren, Sarah Betts, Hannah Betts, Joey Betts, Alexis Melvin, Maddie Molek, Hunter Harvey, and Chance Harvey; four sisters, Carlene Reeves, Karen Fenn, Yvonne Roscoe, and Elona Kelly; and one brother, Robert Roscoe. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Jeffrey Betts, Jr. A private service will be held for the family in Kinsman Cemetery.
