Williamsfield, Ohio - Christopher Bruce McMahan, age 49, died on Monday, June 9, 2014. He was born on April 3, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas a son of Karen Joyce Tautfest and Bruce Dalton McMahan. Chris has an Associate degree from Kent State University in electrical engineering and computer drafting. He was a robotics engineer for Jefferson Industries in West Jefferson Ohio. On July 26, 1997 he married Hope Marie Nevison. Chris was a member of the Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club; Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society of Seagertown, Pennsylvania; and of the R/C Helicopter Association. He was also a co-founder of Need a Lift. Chris enjoyed fishing and hunting; flying his r/c helicopter and his antique engines. He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Hope M. McMahan of Williamsfield, Ohio; two daughters, Kimberly M. McMahan and M. Megan McMahan both of Orwell, Ohio; three sons, John E. McMahan of Mountain City, Tennessee, Raymond J. G. Nevison of Conneaut, Ohio and Cordell L. McMahan of Williamsfield, Ohio; his mother, Karen J. McMahan of Argyle, Texas; his father, Bruce D. McMahan of Wagner, Oklahoma and his sister, Michelle R. (John) Harris of Argyle, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 1:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 12th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
