Williamsfield, Ohio - Clara Hostetler, age 89, died on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at her home in Williamsfield with her family by her side. She was born on February 19, 1919 in Middlefield, Ohio the daughter of the late Jonas and Lovina (Byler) Hostetler. On November 27, 1939 she married Henry S. Hostetler. He died on November 8, 2005. Mrs. Hostetler attended the Andover Christian Church in Andover. She enjoyed quilting and was in a quilting club in Burton, Ohio. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cooking and baking. Mrs. Hostetler and her husband wintered in Sarasota, Florida for over twenty-six years. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, two sons, Lester and Freeman Hostetler; and nine brothers and sisters. Survivors include five daughters, Mary (Amos) Gingerich of Middlefield, Ohio, Lovina (Edmund) Page and, Sarah Troyer both of Sarasota, Florida, Betty A. Hostetler of St. Petersburg, Florida and Ruth A. Hill of Williamsfiled, Ohio; two sisters, Sarah Miller of Burton Station, Ohio and Ada Gingerich of Sarasota, Florida; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00am at Andover Christain Church, Stillman Avenue, Andover, Ohio with Rev. Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2008 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at Baumgardner Funeral Home 134 Prospect Street, Andover, Ohio.
