Claudia Marie Jewell

Dorset, Ohio - Claudia M. Jewell, age 93, died at her daughter's home on Friday, July 28, 2018. She was born on September 21, 1923 in Richmond, Ohio, a daughter of Nellie (Evans) and Kline Spencer. Mrs. Jewell was a 1941 graduate of Andover High School. On September 6, 1941 she married Leonard D. Jewell. She was a housekeeper for the County Nursing Home in Kingsville and for the Pymatuning State Park in Andover and she cooked for the concessions for the Dorset Sale Barn. Mrs. Jewell was a longtime member of the Andover Christian Church and enjoyed reading and sewing. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of seventy-one years, Leonard D. Jewell; a daughter, Carol S. Clute; three sisters, Patty Spencer, Jean Brockett and Ruth E. Boggs and three brothers, Robert Spencer,Victor Spencer and John E. Spencer. Survivors include two daughters, Linda K. Vancourt Jewell of Dorset, Ohio and Judy D. (Herb) Dean of Dorset, Ohio; three sisters, Janet O. Smith of Conneaut, Ohio, Joan E. Burns of Albion, Pennsylvania and Sandra K. Hill of Andover, Ohio; a brother, David L. Spencer of Easley, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
