-Kinsman, Ohio- Cloyd E. "Cliff" Waters, 85, of Kinsman, died at his home on Saturday evening, January 7, 2006. Mr. Waters was born on April 20, 1920 in Richwood, Ohio to Arthur and Lottie (White) Waters. He was a 1939 graduate of LaRue High School in LaRue, Ohio. Mr. Waters served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1942 to 1953 in both World War II and the Korean War as a flight instructor and pilot where he achieved the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross recognitions. He was a 1949 graduate from The Ohio State University, and in 1954 he opened the John Deere dealership in Kinsman, where he remained until his retirement in 1985. After retirement, he attended H&R Block Tax School and prepared tax returns for several seasons for H&R Block and later as a volunteer for AARP. Mr. Waters was an active member of the Kinsman United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and held many church offices. He also enjoyed carpentry work, where his talent helped out many people, and taking long walks with his dog "Wolf". Mr. Waters is survived by his wife Kathryn Marie (Kinsey). They were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on February 20th. He is also survived by two sons, Brad A. (Poksun) Waters of Boise, Idaho, Larry K. (Mary Beth) Waters of Kinsman; two daughters, Marilyn L. (Barry) Fraser of Trenton, Michigan, Jill D. (Kevin) Dickey of North Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Kathryn "Katie" Fraser, David and Michael Waters, Sam, Cliff and Jenalee Yambrovich and Kyle and Alex Dickey; and a brother Howard Waters. Mr. Waters is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol Lee Waters; a brother Richard Waters; and a sister Ardith Leibold. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kinsman United Methodist Church, 8362 Main Street, Kinsman, Ohio with the Rev. Marian Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Kinsman Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Baumgardner Funeral Home, 8569 Main Street, Kinsman, from 2:00 P.M. To 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the church.
