Curts L. Stalnakar

Monroe, Ohio â�" CURTS L. STALNAKER, age 63, of Monroe, Ohio, died on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at UHHS Brown Memorial Hospital. He was born on September 10, 1943 in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Harold D. and Irene (Kean) Stalnaker. Curts was a 1961 graduate of Andover High School and a graduate of Kent State University. He owned and operated a sawmill in Monroe for eight years. He taught industrial arts at Conneaut Area Schools for twenty four years. Curts had a love of woodworking and design and partnered with Joseph Pezzano in building homes in Andover, Ohio. Currently, he was an appraiser for First Merit Bank. Curts was a member of the Ohio Teachers Association and the Appraisers Guild. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Penny L. Miller, whom he married on June 3, 1966. Mr. Stalnaker is preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother Violet Stalnaker. Survivors include his wife Penny of Monroe, Ohio; a son Jason D and wife Lora Lynne Stalnaker of Madison, Ohio. Please join his family for a celebration of a life well lived at the Conneaut Community Center, Buffalo Street, on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
